Security Technician - Auckland

Optima Investments Group (previously known as ECL Group) has been proudly NZ owned and operated for over 50 years.

Our electronic security company Evotek Technologies is looking for an energetic and proactive individual to play an integral role in the continuing successful installation and servicing of Evotek clients in the Auckland region. 

The electronic security technician role entails maintenance and installation work. Geographically, the region is the wider Auckland province. We are looking for a competent technician and would best suit someone with a minimum of 2 - 5 years experience.

To be considered for this role you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Gallagher, Integriti or Protege experience. Accreditations would be advantageous
  • IP-CCTV experience
  • Networking experience
  • Experience in both maintenance and project works
  • Experience with task documentation including the understanding of simple drawings.

Please note that in order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following 2 criteria:

  • Are currently working as an Electronic Security Technician
  • Are a current resident in New Zealand

To be successful in this role you will need the following key attributes:

  • Be competent working with systems and technology
  • Hold certain industry and legal accreditations & licences
  • Display ability to prioritise and organise work independently
  • Display an excellent attitude
  • Display ability to remain agile and adapt to the changing needs of internal and external customers
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Display great time management and self motivation
  • Be prepared to take ownership of issues and see them through to an outcome that is positive for all parties
